Mark Parrish, RW Friday 9/5, 11:55 AM CT
Mark Parrish is still without a contract after being bought out of the final three years of his deal by the Minnesota Wild this off-season, according the Pioneer Press. "There's no doubt in my mind that I still have a lot of hockey left to play," he said.

Our View: Parrish, a 31 year old who has been a 20-goal scorer six times, failed to live up to expectations the past two years in Minnesota as he often clashed with HC Jacques Lemaire. Still, he scored 19 and 16 times the past two years and figures to still be quite capable of producing another 20-goal campaign in the right spot. Keep an eye on where he lands.
Brent Burns, D Thursday 9/4, 7:09 PM CT
Brent Burns had surgery on his left elbow on Thursday to remove "loose bodies", according to the Miami Herald. Burns expects to be able to return to action in about four weeks.

Our View: Burns, who racked up an impressive 15 goals last season (eight on the power-play), will once again be looked at to provide offense from the blue line. If this procedure is as minor as it first sounds, we would probably recommend only knocking Burns down a spot or two in your rankings.
Marian Gaborik, RW Thursday 9/4, 10:35 AM CT
With just one year remaining on his contract, Wild forward Marian Gaborik would like a new deal, and the team is in negotiations with him, according to TSN.com.

Our View: Gaborik is a top fantasy player, and put up 83 points on 42 goals and 41 assists last season. He also added a +17 and 63 PIM. Gaborik is looking to be paid a hefty sum, so it is unclear if the Wild will be able, or willing, to afford it.
