Wins have been few and far between for Panthers netminder Tomas Vokoun, but he picked up his fifth in his 14th start as Florida downed the Hurricanes.

Our View:Vokoun stopped 27 of the 29 shots he faced. His peripheral numbers aren't bad, but fantasy owners can't do much with a goalie who had just four wins previously.

Tomas Vokoun is slated for his 14th start in goal Monday against Carolina, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:Vokoun is an unstable fantasy option, as he has lost five of his last six starts, allowing 18 goals over the span.
November 18, 2008
Panthers goalie Tomas Vokoun stopped 49-of-52 Lighting shots in Florida's 4-3 win on Tuesday night.

Our View:Vokoun has only won four of his 11 starts this season. The win was his first in his last five starts.

Tomas Vokoun will likely start Florida's next two games, according to the Miami Herald. Backup Craig Anderson will likely play on Friday in Boston.

Our View:Vokoun has struggled this year and has been suffering from back spasms lately. He might pick it up after those subside.
November 13, 2008
Tomas Vokoun will give way to Craig Anderson on Friday night as he is currently suffering from back spasms, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Our View:In an odd twist, this injury comes at what could be considered a good time for the club since Anderson has been smoking hot of late with a 3-1-1 record with a 1.85 GAA this season. Vokoun is still the starter, but Anderson was in line for more starts in the short-term even if Vokoun was healthy.

Tomas Vokoun allowed three goals on 32 shots as the Panthers fell to the Kings 3-2 on Thursday night.

Our View:Vokoun is a poor 3-6-0 on the young season, though he can hardly be blamed on many of he goals he has allowed considering the poor work of the defensemen in front of him. Vokoun remains a solid fantasy option, but you might have to look elsewhere for wins.
October 24, 2008
Tomas Vokoun was the star on Friday night in the Panthers 4-3 victory over the Sharks as he stopped 47 of the Sharks record 50 shots on net.

Our View:Vokoun was brilliant tonight stopping and onslaught of shots that saw the Sharks produce at least 16 shots in each period. Nights like this are why Vokoun is a fantasy goalie one despite playing on a team that is far from upper echelon.
October 18, 2008
Tomas Vokoun stopped 31-of-31 shots in Saturday's 2-0 shutout win over the Islanders.

Our View:Vokoun needed a strong effort, as he held a dismal 85.9 save percentage and 4.05 goals-against average over his previous three starts.
October 17, 2008
Despite a rough start to the season, Tomas Vokoun will still start in net for the Panthers on Saturday against the Islanders, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View:Through three starts Vokoun has looked pretty awful with a .859 SV%, but given his track record one would expect a big time comeback fairly soon. If he continues to struggle though the team could give Craig Anderson a couple of starts.
October 16, 2008
It was not a good night for Panthers goalie Tomas Vokoun, who allowed four goals on 18 shots, and was pulled in the second period of the team's loss to Minnesota.

Our View:Vokoun has had a rough beginning to the season, and now has a save percentage of .845, to go along with two losses. Fantasy owners should be confident he will get better, though.
October 6, 2008
Tomas Vokoun stopped every one of the 28 shots thrown his way on Monday night in the Panthers 6-0 beat down of the Islanders.

Our View:Vokoun led the league is saves last season (2,033) and is an extremely stable option to count on as a goalie one after the "big names" are off the board given that he has averaged 32 victories a season over the past four years.
September 28, 2008
Tomas Vokoun stopped 33 shots and all but one in the shootout as Florida fell to the Canadiens on Sunday.

Our View:He entered with a 5.93 goals-against-average after allowing nine goals in his first two outings. His performance on Sunday was a step closer to his averages from a season ago.
