The Flames have placed defenseman Anders Eriksson on waivers, according to TSN.ca.

Our View:Eriksson is to earn $1.5 million next season, and is in the final year of a two-year contract with Calgary. The NHL-journeyman has played in 552 NHL games with Calgary, Detroit, Chicago, Florida, Toronto, and Columbus.
