The AP reports that Saku Koivu made his preseason debut on a line with Chris Higgins and newcomer Alex Tanguay. He was held pointless in 15:37 of ice-time in Montreal's 3-1 win over Boston on Wednesday.

Our View:Koivu had been nursing a sore foot but appears ready to go for the season. He had 56 points and 93 PIM in 77 games a year ago for Montreal.
