Daniel Alfredsson wasn't just playing on a sore knee in the playoffs, he was playing on a knee that had a torn MCL, this according to the Ottawa Sun. "We had such a difficult second half of the season. We thought if we got into the playoffs, we could get a fresh start and it just didn't happen."

Our View:Gotta give the guy credit for giving it a go, but the Senators were completely outclassed by a younger, faster and more talented Penguins squad in the sweep.

If he feels he can play then he's in."

Our View:It's do or die time for the Senators who already trail two games to none, so if Alffie doesn't play tonight, he will likely have about four months to convalesce.
