Daniel Alfredsson wasn't just playing on a sore knee in the playoffs, he was playing on a knee that had a torn MCL, this according to the Ottawa Sun. "We had such a difficult second half of the season. We thought if we got into the playoffs, we could get a fresh start and it just didn't happen."

Our View:Gotta give the guy credit for giving it a go, but the Senators were completely outclassed by a younger, faster and more talented Penguins squad in the sweep.

Daniel Alfredsson stated that he was playing with a torn MCL in the playoffs, according to the Ottawa Sun. His effort to play hurt didn't help however, as the Senators still got swept by the Penguins in the first round.

Our View:He scored 89 points over 70 games in the regular season, and hopefully he will come back strong next season.

Daniel Alfredsson will be reunited with former linemates Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley for Game 4, this according to TSN.

Our View:This trio is the most dominating group on ice, so look for this group to do everything in their power to avoid being swept for the third time in franchise history.
