Player Notes
October 10, 2008
Paul Kariya chipped in two assists in Friday's 5-2 win over Nashville.

Our View:The veteran averaged 75 points over the last three seasons, and looks to stay on par in 2008-09.

Paul Kariya generated a goal and two assists in Saturday's 4-1 preseason win over Atlanta.

Our View:Kariya will turn 34 this month, but has not missed a regular season game over the last three seasons, while averaging 75 points over the span. He has a few more productive seasons left in him, and is a solid player to round out a fantasy roster with.

Blues winger Paul Kariya showed up in St. Louis with added muscle, which he hopes will be a factor in allowing him to score more goals for the team this season, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Kariya had a career-low 16 goals last year, and he needs to be more prolific in that area if the Blues hope to be more successful. Fantasy owners can still use a guy like Kariya, who doled out 49 assists on his way to 69 points last season.
