Olaf Kolzig has confirmed that he has played his last game for the Capitals, according to FanNation. He also said he would like to return for a 17th NHL campaign.

Our View:The franchise drafted him back in 1989. Kolzig went 25-21-6 in 2007, with a .892 save percentage. He only had one shutout, but can still hold his own between the pipes.
March 19, 2008
Olaf Kolzig stopped 37-of-42 shots in the Capitals' 5-0 loss to the Blackhawks. That loss snapped a three-game winning streak for him.
March 12, 2008
Olaf Kolzig, who has 299 career victories and looking for 300, is expected to start in goal against the Flames on Wednesday night, this according to Washington Post. Kolzig has 23 wins in 49 games this season.
March 5, 2008
Starting in place of an injured Cristobal Huet, Olaf Kolzig stopped 25 of 26 shots to pick up his 23rd victory of the season. Huet is being listed as day-to-day with back spasms, so until he is back at full health the Caps will lean on the man who has been their main man in goal for years. Kolzig is a below average goaltender at this point of his career with a save percentage barely over .890, so only play him if you are desperate in net.
February 11, 2008
Olaf Kolzig registered his 10th win in his last 15 starts on Sunday. Kolzig made 31 saves in the 3-2 overtime win against the Rangers. Few goalies have been as inconsistent as Kolzig this season but the Caps are red hot and Kolzig is along for the ride. He currently should be considered a No. 1 fantasy option.

Olaf Kolzig was pulled after allowing four goals on 16 shots Sunday against Philadelphia. Brent Johnson followed up and stopped 15 of the 16 shots he faced.
