November 16, 2008 Rod Brind'Amour scored his seventh goal of the year in the Hurricanes' 3-2 shootout win over the Lightning on Sunday. Our View:The 38-year-old now has a five-game point streak, with three goals and two assists during that time. He remains a -13, however, which is quite a negative for fantasy owners. |

November 14, 2008 Rod Brind'Amour picked up his sixth goal of the year on the power play in Friday's third period. It brought the Hurricanes back to within one, but they lost 3-2 to Atlanta. Our View:Brind'Amour now has 12 points in 17 games for Carolina, but is a (-13) on the year, which brings down his fantasy value quite a bit. |

November 9, 2008 Rod Brind'Amour scored his fifth goal of the season on Sunday though he was also a (-3) to drop his plus/minus to a scary low (-13) on the season. Our View:Brind'Amour, despite a career of point scoring (1,123 in 1,338 games), is often facing off against the other teams' top centers, and as a result he owns a paltry +3 mark in his career. His current failures in the plus/minus category will almost certainly turn around, but it's been ugly so far. |
