Jeremy Roenick missed practice Monday due to a left knee injury, according to the Mercury News.

Our View:Roenick is considered day-to-day. The 38-year-old has not topped 50 points since 2002-03 with the Flyers, and is no longer worth drafting.

The Sharks and Jeremy Roenick have agreed to terms on a new contract for the 2008-09 season, the Ticker reports. Roenick turned 38 in January. He notched 33 points over 69 games in 2007-08.

Our View:Roenick has fallen off a bit since dominating NHL '94, and he's no longer worth owning in fantasy leagues though it is noteworthy that he set an NHL record by having 71.4% of his goals go for game-winners this season (10 of his 14 tallies).

Jeremy Roenick will return to play in San Jose next season to give it one more shot at getting his name engraved on the Stanley Cup, according to TSN. "The media is going to say the coach needs to be fired, players need to be traded, but I think within this organization, within these walls, we're very confident in where we are."

Our View:Roenick scored 14 goals this year with a massive 10 game-winners, giving him some fantasy value. Still, at this point of his career he is likely best left on waivers to see what line he ends up on.

Veteran center Jeremy Roenick brought all of his tools for success to the arena tonight and helped the San Jose Sharks win the deciding Game 7 in this first-round playoff series 3-5 over the Calgary Flames. Roenick put two goals in the net and added two assists to the cause in a dominating display of hockey prowess, pushing the Sharks to the second round of the playoffs to face the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference semifinals.

Our View:Roenick was a healthy scratch in Game 6, an understandable decision with Roenick touting just three shots on goal in the playoffs and no points or PIMs heading into that game. Tonight he got the call and made good on the opportunity.

Jeremy Roenick will return to the Sharks' lineup for Game 7 on Tuesday, according to The Mercury News. He was a healthy scratch for Game 6 but will be ready to go tonight and he stated, "The coach makes a decision and as a player I have to accept those decisions and do what's best for the hockey club. It doesn't matter if I was surprised. It's my job to be ready when I'm asked to go. But I really don't know what to expect in terms of playing time. You just have to be prepared for when you go on the ice and do the job when I'm out there. I've just always tried to be a guy who comes through. I think it's desire in wanting to be the go-to guy. If you're not afraid or anxious, it can be a great thing. I can't wait to play in big games."

Our View:This will be the sixth Game 7 of his career, but his fantasy value remains low, as he is yet to notch a point in the current series with Calgary.

Jeremy Roenick was a healthy scratch in Game 6 because HC Ron Wilson said he needed a rest, this according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Our View:Odds are great that he will be active for Game 7 as this is the very type of situation that the team brought him in for during the off-season.

Jeremy Roenick scored his ninth game winning goal of the season on Friday night, his NHL leading 12th game deciding goal for the Sharks. So much for retiring. Roenick might be working on the most impressive 13 goal season in league history when you consider that he has six goals on the power play, and again, nine of the 13 have gone for game winners.
March 20, 2008
Jeremy Roenick netted a goal and an assist in the Sharks' 4-3 shootout victory over the Minnesota Wild. The Sharks, hoping to find their swing as the playoffs approach, are getting just what they hoped to receive in signing the crafty veteran out of retirement. Roenick won't give big numbers, but in times of need, he can rise to the occasion.

Jeremy Roenick has missed the last two games with the flu and is questionable for tonight's contest, according to Sports Network. You have to be pretty desperate to play the 38-year-old at this point in his career, anyway.

Jeremy Roenick missed Monday night's win over the Canadiens with the flu. The Sharks center is considered day-to-day.
