The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that Flyers' defenseman Derian Hatcher underwent full right-knee replacement surgery on June 1, effectively ending his career. When asked if he was planning to make a comeback, Hatcher said, "The doctor said no. So there you go."

Our View:Hatcher has struggled with injuries over the last few years of his career, and it looks like we have seen the last of him on the blue line. He was a very good player in his prime, and he will be remembered in NHL circles for a long time.

Derian Hatcher is reported to be skating again for the Flyers, but won't be in the lineup any time soon, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Hatcher is likely to be out for an extended period of time, so don't jump the gun with signing him quite yet.
