Patrick Kane scored his first goal of the series on Wednesday, but his goal was all the Blackhawks could muster as they fell 2-1 in overtime to the Red Wings. Kane had not scored a goal since his hat trick in the deciding game against Vancouver in the second round.

Our View:The Blackhawks really needed Kane in this series, but tonight was the first time he really showed up to play. He is already a star in this league at 19, so expect to be hearing about him for a long time.

Patrick Kane notched a hat-trick on Monday, putting three goals past Roberto Luongo and the Canucks as Chicago closed out the series against Vancouver and moved on to the Western Conference Finals.

Our View:The 19-year-old opened the series against Vancouver on a high note with two goals in Game 1 and closed it out even better.

Patrick Kane collected a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Canucks in Game 2 at General Motors Place.

Our View:Kane's solid performance helped the Blackhawks even the series at 1-1. He had two goals in Game 1, and has lit the lamp in three straight playoff games going back to the opening-round series against Calgary.
