October 3, 2009 Erik Johnson had two assists and a plus-two rating in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Red Wings in Sweden. He set up Patrick Berglund for the game winner. Our View:Johnson, who missed all of last season with a tragic knee injury, looks at the top of his game this season and the former number one pick could be poised for a breakout year. August 5, 2009 Erik Johnson has been given the green light to return to the ice after missing the entire 2008-09 campaign due to a knee injury (torn ACL) stemming from a golf cart accident, according to the Our View:Johnson is excited to be ready to go for the 2009-10 season, and should serve as a solid blueliner for St. Louis (and potentially fantasy owners) if he proves to bounce back healthy. |
