Pekka Rinne signed a one-year extension with the Predators, according to the AP. Rinne’s extension will pay him $725,000 beginning in 2009-10.

Our View:Rinne only saw action briefly in one game with Nashville last season, and isn't going to make an impact with the club in 2008-09.

The Predators signed Pekka Rinne to a two-year contract on Monday, according to the Canadian Press. Financial terms were not disclosed. He spent last season playing for the team’s minor league affiliate in Milwaukee.
