May 11, 2008 Maxime Talbot, a sometimes overlooked fourth-line forward on a team renowned for its stars, scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period and the Pittsburgh Penguins took a two-game lead in the Eastern Conference finals by beating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 Sunday night. May 10, 2008 Center Maxime Talbot may be laced up and ready to play for his Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday, according to the Our View:Talbot suffered a broken foot while blocking a slapshot during the Pens' last playoff series against the New York Rangers. He practiced with the team today and coach Michel Therrien told reporters he will be evaluated once more tomorrow morning. |
