October 30, 2009 Marc Staal lit the lamp in tonight's 3-2 loss at Minnesota. Our View:The young blueliner could develop into a solid pro in New York, but is not yet worth employing in fantasy leagues, with just two goals and three assists over 14 games. |

September 27, 2009 Marc Staal chipped in with two helpers in the Rangers 4-3 preseason loss to the Capitals on Sunday. He was the only Ranger to record multiple points. Our View:Staal is an up and coming young defenseman, but hasn't yet been fantasy worthy. Last season he finished with just three goals and 15 points in all 82 games to go along side a minus-seven rating. |

September 29, 2008 Marc Staal did not skate with the team Sunday in Switzerland as he is nursing an arm and shoulder ailment, according to Our View:It remains unknown when he will return to action, and is considered day-to-day. He is entering his second season with the Rangers and registered two goals and eight assists over 80 games as a rookie, with 42 penalty minutes. |
