TSN reports that defenseman Jack Johnson said he was five weeks ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery. Originally he was not expected back until after the All-Star break, however he expects to start skating in two weeks. He has already begun weight training.

Our View:The 21-year-old had a minus-19 rating in 74 games last season and had a minus-3 rating through two games this season. Although he has a good future ahead of him, it's unlikely he will offer much value to fantasy teams this season.

Our View:The 21-year-old defenseman will be sidelined until after the All-Star break.

Jack Johnson has landed on the IR with his shoulder injury, according to the AP.

Our View:The 21-year-old defenseman is expected to miss 2-3 months. He was not expected to make a solid fantasy impact right away this season, and won't be missed while he is out.

Jack Johnson sustained an upper body injury during Sunday's game, according to the LA Times.

Our View:The young defenseman told reporters that he was fine, but the angle of his left arm and his care in holding it tightly against his body suggested otherwise. The team is yet to determine the severity of the injury.

Jack Johnson stated in an interview that he is completely recovered from his fractured right foot, according to the LA Daily News. He said, "The foot is totally healed. I was good about four weeks after it happened, but I stayed off it for about four weeks after that just to be safe. I've been training all summer. It's been a long summer and I'm going to be real happy to get back on the ice."

Our View:The young defenseman looks to hold a larger role with the Kings this season with Rob Blake departed from the team. He was the third overall pick in the 2005 draft, and could potentially emerge as a fantasy sleeper next season.
