Philadelphia defenseman Braydon Coburn reports he is still dealing with health issues that may prove worrisome as the Flyers continue to battle with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference finals, but he will be on the ice and playing today in Game 5, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Coburn was struck in the face by a puck in Game 2, and after practicing with the team yesterday, he told reporters he was still struggling with depth perception and the feel of a his newly-needed visor. Coach John Stevens is going to leave the decision to play to Coburn, and it sounds like he's going to give it his best. "I'm dealing with some things with the eye and stuff like that and every day it's been getting better, and tomorrow I will evaluate it again," said Coburn. "Yeah, there's a good chance I will play."

Braydon Coburn's playing status for Sunday's Game 5 depends solely on when the severe swelling around his left eye subsides, according to the Baltimore Sun. He has been out since the opening minutes of Game 2 when he was struck by a deflected shot.

Our View:The Flyers are on the verge of elimination, and Coburn will fight hard to make it onto the ice for Game 5. The Flyers trail the Penguins 3-1 in the series.

Braydon Coburn hopes to be able to play in Game 5 after being forced to the press box because of an injury to his eye, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Nothing is certain at this point, but with the Flyers in do or die mode you know that Coburn is pushing hard to prove to the team that he is healthy enough to play.
