Rostislav Olesz remains out of action with his shoulder injury, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Our View:He missed Thursday's game against the Kings, and the team remains uncertain when he may be able to return.

Rostislav Olesz won't be suspended for hitting Chris Lee of the Islanders from behind, according to TSN.

Our View:Lee was carried off the ice on a stretcher and taken to the hospital, but NHL officials reviewed the video of the incident, and felt Olesz did not merit a suspension.

Rostislav Olesz received a 5-minute major for checking from behind along with a game misconduct after he slammed Islanders defensemen Chris Lee into the boards, according to the Associated Press. As a result of the hit, Lee was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Our View:First off we hope that Lee is OK after a nasty scene in Florida. Second, Olesz will almost certainly end up with some form of a suspension for the hit as all boarding majors are reviewed by the league.

Rostislav Olesz has agreed to a multi-year deal to remain with the Panthers, according to TSN.ca. Sources indicate it is a six-year, $18.75 million deal, with an annual salary cap hit of $3.125 million.

Our View:Olesz was on the verge of a breakout campaign in 2007-08 but was hampered by a hand injury most of the year, which limited him to 14 goals and 12 assists (26 points) over 56 games. He notably registered four goals and two assists over eight games played in February.

Rostislav Olesz, who missed the third period Saturday against the Flyers, was back in the lineup on Sunday, according to the Palm Beach Post. The Panthers forward suffered a foot injury in Saturday's Philadelphia contest and is expected to play through the minor ailment.

Rostislav Olesz, who missed the previous 12 games because of a hand injury, returned to active duty Friday night against the Capitals. Olesz opened the scoring at 5:52 of the first period by following his own shot and beating Washington goalie Brent Johnson with a backhand.

Rostislav Olesz will return to the lineup tonight after missing 12 games with a hand injury. "I'm happy," he told the Sun-Sentinel. "It was the second time this season I was out for a long time. It wasn't good for me just practicing every day, watching the guys and I couldn't be with them."

Rostislav Olesz participated in a full practice Tuesday, the first time he's been able to do so since reinjuring his hand last month. Olesz is expected to be back in the lineup Friday. "It's been four weeks, and the past couple I've just been skating and skating," he said in the Miami Herald. "We have a lot of guys injured, and that's not good since we're battling for the playoffs. I want to help the guys. I'll be ready. I feel good."

Rostislav Olesz aggravated an old injury Wednesday when a stick got under his glove. The stick reopened the cut on his hand that cost him 14 games earlier this season, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. He'll be examined in two weeks to determine exactly when he'll be cleared to return.
