October 5, 2008 Dan Ellis stopped 26 of 27 shots on Sunday but he and his mates still fell to the Hurricanes 2-0. Our View:Ellis has done nothing this preseason to make one think that he should be a perfectly usable second goalie this season, though it will certainly be interesting to see how he handles the pressure once the regular season begins. |

September 27, 2008 Predators goalie Dan Ellis had a good night in goal, stopping every one of the 15 shots he faced to help lead Nashville to a 3-1 win over Columbus. Our View:Ellis had a fabulous season last year in just 44 games played. He won 23 games and had a save percentage of .924 with a GAA of 2.34. |

June 20, 2008 Dan Ellis has agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth $3.5 million to remain in Nashville, according to the Our View:Ellis went 23-10-3 in 2007-08, and led the league in save percentage with a .924 mark. The team made sure to lock him up before he hit the free agent market on July 1. |
