Tomas Plekanec generated two goals and two assists in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Islanders.

Our View:Plekanec broke out of his slump with a vengeance, as he only scored three points over nine games heading into tonight.

The Montreal Gazette reports that coach Guy Carbonneau expects center Tomas Plekanec to break out of his slump soon. He will continue to skate on the team's first line with Alexei Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn.

Our View:Plekanec has 31 shots and just one goal through nine games. The goal came on an open net. Just as bad, he only has two assists. Fantasy owners should stick with him as he should put up points in bunches once he does get it going.

Tomas Plekanec continued a nice preseason by assisting on both Canadiens goals in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over Florida.

Our View:It appears Plekanec will remain on the top line with Alex Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn. Assuming he does, expect another 70 point season from the center.
