Anthony Stewart didn't even skate 12 minutes on Thursday night, but he was still able to score a goal and add an assist for the Panthers in their loss to the Kings. Nathan Horton also scored (short-handed) on the night.

Our View:Stewart, a first round selection in 2003, has skated in only 52 NHL games as he has been slow to develop. With a huge frame (6'2, 240 lbs), Stewart could stand to play a more physical game as he has only two PIM in his NHL career.

Anthony Stewart was a healthy scratch for Saturday's game, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:The 23-year-old has only played in one game so far this season, and should continue to be ignored as a fantasy prospect.

The AP reports that Anthony Stewart scored his second goal in four preseason games early in the first period when he drove a slap shot from the top of the right faceoff circle over Price's glove to open the scoring 3:12 in.

Our View:Stewart, 23, is a 2003 first-round draft choice who has bounced between the NHL and AHL. Last season he played in 54 games for AHL Rochester and 26 games with the Panthers. He's played well enough to probably make Florida's roster for this season but doesn't figure to hold much fantasy value.

The Florida Panthers have signed forward Anthony Stewart to a one-year contract, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View:Stewart, 23, is a 2003 first-round draft choice who has bounced between the NHL and AHL. Last season he played in 54 games for AHL Rochester and 26 games with the Panthers. The team views this as a make-or-break opportunity for Stewart, a talented offensive force that has failed to enjoy stable health during his time in the NHL.
