Nathan Horton realizes that he must not only produce on the ice this season he almost must take on more of a leadership role as well, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Our View:Horton is being looked at to center the club's top line, this after skating as a right wing the past couple of seasons, as he is the Panthers top offensive option now that Olli Jokinen is skating in Arizona. After scoring 28, 31 and 27 times the past three seasons, Horton is a name to remember on draft day as he could easily boost his play to include 35 or more goals in the coming season.

Nathan Horton was on the prowl for the Florida Panthers again last night, posting one goal and one assist in the Panthers' 4-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Horton's 27th goal and 35 assist of the season brings him to 62 points on the season, second only to veteran Olli Jokinen for the team lead.
