Peter Forsberg's return to the Avalanche next season is questionable, according to the Denver Post. His agent stated that unless he can get his foot issue resolved, he won't be playing.

Our View:He also battled a groin ailment last season, and was reduced to only nine games of action, but proved he can still be effective as he scored 14 points. Ultimately though, he can no longer be counted on as a fantasy performer.

Joel Quenneville has been fired by the Avalanche, according to the AP. GM Francois Giguere said, "After meeting with Joel, we mutually agreed that the best decision for both parties involved is to go separate ways. On behalf of the organization, I want to thank Joel for his years of service and wish him the best in his coaching career."

Our View:He coached the Avalanche to a 44-31-7 regular-season record and a berth in the Western Conference playoffs this year.

Peter Forsberg will miss tonight's Game 4 against Detroit due to his groin ailment, according to the Denver Post. At a Pepsi Center skatearound this morning, coach Joe Quenneville stated that Forsberg's groin issues have not cleared enough for him to take the ice.

Our View:Forsberg chipped in five points over six games played against Minnesota in the first round, and he will be a tough loss for Colorado, as they trail Detroit 3-0 in the series.
