March 5, 2010 Matt Stajan lit the lamp in Friday's 5-3 win over the Devils at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Our View:Stajan collected his 19th goal of the season, with three coming over nine games with the Flames. He is 10 goals away from 100 for his career as well. |

March 1, 2010 Matt Stajan and the Flames have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth roughly $3.5 million per year, according to Our View:Stajan would have been due to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 had he not received an extension. He's gotten off to a bit of a slow start with the Flames with two goals and two assists in seven games since coming to Calgary but should start to pick things up. |

February 9, 2010 Newly acquired Matt Stajan recorded a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Senators. Our View:Stajan now has 18 goals and 26 assists this season, and has recorded three points in five games with the Flames since coming over from Toronto. He's on the top line with Jarome Iginla, so the points should flow steadily for the rest of the season. |
