Ales Kotalik took part in drills for the first time in two weeks on Thursday, according to the Buffalo News. He's been held out by a hamstring injury.

Our View:Kotalik doesn't have a ton of fantasy value, but is owned in about a third of leagues and has accumulated 10 points in 16 games so far this season.

Ales Kotalik has been promoted to the Sabres' top line with Derek Roy and Thomas Vanek, according to the Buffalo News. Coach Lindy Ruff said, "He’s a powerful man, by far, maybe our strongest all-around player when it comes to off-ice strength and on-ice strength."

Our View:Drew Stafford has been struggling and drops to the third line. Kotalik has racked up four goals and four assists over 11 games, and looks to be even more productive while skating on the first line.
