Mikko Koivu scored the lone goal in Minnesota's 5-1 loss to Colorado on Tuesday, and he has now impressively scored a goal in all four games of the series.

Mikko Koivu is starring for the Wild in the playoffs. He netted his third goal in as many games on Monday night.

Our View:Koivu turned it on in March and is beginning to look like a guy who will be a more effective fantasy performer come the 2008-09 season.

Mikko Koivu scored a third period goal and was a +2 in Game 2 as the Wild defeated the Avalanche in OT 3-2. Koivu has been the Wild's best skater through the first two games of the playoffs with his hustle and two-way play.

Mikko Koivu served as the team catalyst for the Minnesota Wild this evening, scoring one goal and assisting on another, in the midst of a much-needed playoff win, but the effort was for naught as the Wild fell in OT, 3-2. Koivu did his best work with the Wild down 2-0 in the third period, and that is an effort fans and future opponents had better recognize as the Wild move forward.

Mikko Koivu put his Minnesota Wild in prime position this evening, touting three assists in the Wild's 3-1 victory over Edmonton. These three points are the first Koivu has earned in four games, bringing him to 28 assists and 38 total points on the year.

February 15, 2008
Mikko Koivu netted the winning goal in a Thursday night NHL shootout as the Minnesota Wild beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-4. In Ripley's believe it or not fashion, Minnesota improved to 24-0-1 this season -- and 50-1-1 the past two -- when leading after two periods.

The Wild activated Mikko Koivu from injured reserve on Friday, according the AP. Koivu missed 24 games with a broken bone in his leg.

Our View:Koivu had 16 points in 19 games before he suffered the injury. His return should help the team at both ends of the ice. They have had a shortage at the center position due to his injury and the retirement of Wes Walz.
