November 28, 2008
Ryan Miller emerged with his 10th victory of the season after holding the Penguins to three goals on 30 shots.

Our View:Miller has rebounded well from his November 19th debacle (seven goals allowed) to allow seven goals over his last three appearances. Miller is a borderline G1 do to his up and down play, but he will continue to start almost every night giving himself a chance to rack up a boatload of wins.
November 21, 2008
Ryan Miller stopped 22-of-24 shots against in Friday's 3-0 loss to the Flyers.

Our View:Miller is stuck in a rut as he has lost three straight starts, allowing 13 goals over the span.
November 3, 2008
Ryan Miller continued an exceptional season for the Sabres. The Buffalo goaltender shutout the New Jersey Devils on Monday while helping the Sabres to a 2-0 victory.

Our View:Miller is 7-1-1 while giving up less than 1.8 goals per game and successfully defending over 94 percent of the shots he faces. This was his second consecutive shutout and he has been the most dominant goalie of the young season.
October 25, 2008
Sabres goalie Ryan Miller suffered his first loss, although it was in a shootout, 2-1 to Colorado.

Our View:Miller has had a brilliant season, and even in the shootout loss he stopped 28-of-29 shots, and has allowed just 10 goals in six games this year.
October 23, 2008
Ryan Miller won for the fifth time in five games as he stopped 30 of 33 Wild shots on Thursday. Buffalo remained undefeated with a 4-3 victory.

Our View:Miller has been so good this season the Thursday's performance was his worst yet. He has been among the best fantasy goalies in the early going.
October 21, 2008
Goaltender Ryan Miller earned a shootout win on Tuesday as Buffalo defeated Boston and remained undefeated. Miller had multiple acrobatic saves in stopping 30 of 32 shots.

Our View:Miller has been exceptional this season. He has surrendered six goals in four games. His backup, Patrick LaLime has also played well this season. Both are free agents at the end of the season.
October 16, 2008
The Buffalo Sabres are making regular rest a priority for goaltender Ryan Miller , according to the Buffalo News.

Our View:Miller wore out last year under the weight of playing 76 games. He is 2-0-0 with a .96 GAA this season. His backup, Patrick LaLime, performed well in his sted. He made 23 saves in his 7-1 victory and is likely to get another start this weekend, either Friday in HSBC Arena against Vancouver or Saturday at Atlanta.
October 15, 2008
Ryan Miller was named the second star of the Sabres and Rangers game after stopping 19 of 20 shots in his second victory of the season.

Our View:Miller has allowed two goals in two games in a strong start to a season of change in Buffalo. Miller will play a ton of games and has a shot at 40-victories, but it remains to be seen just how strong his ratios will be in that effort.
October 10, 2008
Ryan Miller stopped 27-of-28 shots in Friday's 2-1 win over Montreal. His solid effort earned him the second star of the game.

Our View:Miller averages 38 wins over his last two seasons with Buffalo, and is off to solid start in 2008.
October 5, 2008
Ryan Miller stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Sabres loss to the Red Wings as the club dropped to 2-4-1 in the preseason.

Our View:Miller will play almost every night and rack up this wins, though his ratios might not be anything more than merely average in the coming season.
September 27, 2008
Sabres goalie Ryan Miller earned the win in the team's preseason game against the Maple Leafs, stopping 26 of 28 shots as Buffalo won 3-2 in overtime.

Our View:Miller had a solid season in net for Buffalo in 2007-08, and won 36 of his 75 starts with a 2.64 goals against average. He'll again be useful to fantasy owners in their drafts.
September 27, 2008
Goaltender Ryan Miller will start on Saturday against Toronto.

Our View:Miller is the top goaltender on the roster and he should be able to improve his numbers from last season. He had a 90.6% save percentage to go with a 2.64 GAA.
July 18, 2008
Ryan Miller has inked a five-year extension with the Sabres, according to the AP. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Our View:The club felt he was worthy of investing in long-term as he went 36-27-10 in 2007-08, with a 2.64 GAA. He had three shutouts to his credit.
June 30, 2008
The Buffalo Sabres have started talks with Ryan Miller and his agent in a bid to sign the star goaltender to a lucrative long-term deal this summer, this according to TSN.ca. The report notes that general manager Darcy Regier said he is commitment to building from within rather than through NHL free agency, which begins Tuesday.

Our View:The Sabres are expected to take a more aggressive approach this off-season after being faulted for waiting too long to lock up co-captains Chris Drury and Daniel Briere a year ago.
February 27, 2008
Ryan Miller was injured when he took a shot off his mask and left the game with a bloody nose. However, he was able to return later in the game, according to a report on the AP. Miller has started 17-straight games for the Sabres and should continue to be one the league's top-10 keepers the rest of the season.
February 21, 2008
Ryan Miller had allowed 10 goals in his last three starts, but on Thursday he returned to his previous standard by allowing just one goal in 35 shots in the Sabres victory. All told Miller is still an amazing 10-2-1 in his last 13 decisions as the Sabres are smack dab in the middle of the playoff race after it seemed like their season was almost over just a month ago.
February 17, 2008
Ryan Miller, a game after allowing four goals on 11 shots, allowed three goals on 24 shots to the Penguins in a 4-1 loss. Miller, who is still 8-2-1 in his last 11 games, was bound to slow a bit as he was on an unsustainable pace. Still, he has allowed more than three goals only once in his last 12 games, so he is keeping the Sabres in every game in which he plays.
February 16, 2008
Ryan Miller allowed four goals on 11 shots against the Rangers on Saturday and was pulled after the first period. Jocelyn Thibault took his place. Somebody forgot to wake the Sabres up early for the noon game. Miller has been hot since the turn of the calendar year, and fantasy owners should chalk this up as simply one bad day.
February 14, 2008
Ryan Miller was amazing for the Sabres stopping all 35 shots he faced to earn his third shutout of the season on Wednesday night. Miller has been hotter than a lit cigar of late with three straight wins as he has allowed a total of just four goals, and he is 8-0-1 with only 15 goals allowed over the last nine. Miller has certainly turned around what was shaping up to be nothing more than an average season in Buffalo as he continues to keep the team in games that they really have no business being in.
February 4, 2008
Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller got through practice on Monday with no problems, and he's expected to be in goal for the Sabres tomorrow night in Boston despite the knee injury that knocked him out of Friday night's game, according to the Buffalo News. This is good news for the Sabres and Miller's fantasy owners since the flashy goaltender is coming off a January in which he posted a 1.98 GAA.
February 2, 2008
It appears that the knee injury that Ryan Miller sustained Friday night is not serious, according to the Buffalo News. "It looks like Ryan will be OK," coach Lindy Ruff said. "I would expect him back at practice on Monday. We didn't think it was too serious and that was confirmed. For sure, I would anticipate him playing on Tuesday." Whew! Miller failed to complete last night's game due to the injury, but it looks he's set to for next week. He's made 1158 saves thus far and has posted a .913 SV% and 2.43 GAA.
February 2, 2008
Ryan Miller was unable to complete Friday's game due to a leg injury, according to the Buffalo News. Miller was injured with about five minutes left in the second period when he was interfered with by the Thrasher's Chris Thorburn. Although he finished the period, Miller didn't return for the third. The Sabres failed to announce what the injury was, but said he'd be examined further on Saturday.
