Bobby Holik has left the Thrashers as he signed a one-year deal with the Devils worth $2.5 million, according to TSN.ca.

Our View:Holik will provide solid depth and leadership to the Devils, but is not likely going to challenge 20 goals next season, as he only averaged 13.6 over his three campaigns with Atlanta.

Bobby Holik expects to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The 37-year old states that he is not a part of the Thrashers' future and he needs to look forward. He also commented that he feels bad for the younger players on the team, because they are likely going to have a third captain in three years.

Our View:Holik provides depth and leadership, but he no longer garners much fantasy interest, as he only scored 15 goals and 19 assists over 82 games in 2007-08.

Bobby Holik is about to get a big paycheck. An arbitrator has ruled that the Rangers owe the forward $3.5 million over a contract dispute stemming from the lost 2004-05 season, TSN.ca reports. The Rangers argued that Holik needed to play to earn his signing bonus.

Our View:We're hoping Mr. Holik invites us to the celebration.
