Henrik Zetterberg scored a power-play goal and added an assist for the Wings in their 4-3 victory over the Lightning.

Our View:Zetterberg has rather quietly put up 10 goals in just 13 games for the Wings this season, with five of the markers coming with the man advantage. Zetterberg continues to be one of the most dynamic scoring options in all of the NHL and is clearly a foundational block to building a championship squad.

Our View:Zetterberg now has seven goals in eight games. Look for more goals to pour in from Zetterberg. He had 43 goals last season and is on his way to eclipsing that mark so far in 2008-09.

Our View:Zetterberg, who recently missed time due to a sore groin, was in mid-season form tonight and has lit the lamp four times in five games for the Wings. Consider him a must start yet again as he showed no ill effects from the injury on this night.

Our View: The reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner, Zetterberg recorded 43 goals and 49 assists in 2007-08. The Swede has one tally and three points in three games this season.

Our View:He will practice again Tuesday, and then evaluate his readiness to play at St. Louis on Wednesday. He felt good following today's session on the ice.

Henrik Zetterberg will likely miss up to 10 days due to a sore groin, according to The Detroit News. "This morning when he came in, he was sorer than yesterday," HC Mike Babcock said. "We were hoping it was going to be the opposite way."

Our View:The team called up Darren Helm to take the roster spot, but he obviously won't be looked at to pick up the lost scoring of Henrik. Reserve Zetterberg for now and hope that he beats the estimate back onto the ice.

Our View:Zetterberg is a fantasy monster and has three points through three games this season. Assuming he plays, expect Mikael Samuelsson to replace Jiri Hudler on Zetterberg's line as coach Mike Babcock tries to get more production out of the unit.

Next summer, defending Conn Smythe Trophy winner Henrik Zetterberg can become an unrestricted free agent. The Red Wings brass has began having conversations about extending their leading goal scorer. Zetterberg said in the The Detroit News, "I love it here. This has become a home for me. I would like to be here for a long time."

Our View:Zetterberg was one of the top scorers last year and you can expect much of the same this year which could end up being his walk year.

Henrik Zetterberg will not skate with former linemate Pavel Datsyuk this season as each player will center their own scoring line, according to the Detroit News. "Not maybe -- for sure," HC Mike Babcock said. "They're not playing together. It would be crazy to play them together."

Our View:Dreams of a Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Marian Hossa line will have to remain in the dream realm for now, though the three could see time together on the power-play. As it stands now, look for Zetterberg to skate with Jiri Hudler and Johan Franzen on his line and for Datsyuk to skate with Hossa and Tomas Holmstrom.

Henrik Zetterberg has been honored with the inaugural TSN award, according to TSN.ca. He has beaten out Alex Ovechkin and team-mate Nicklas Lidstrom for the award.

Our View:The honor goes to the most outstanding player of the full season (regular season and playoffs) and was voted on by a 30-member panel which consists of current NHL players, coaches and general managers, the NHLPA executive director and the NHL on TSN broadcast team. TSN will donate $5,000 (Canandian currency) to Zetterberg's charity of choice in recognition of this honor.

Henrik Zetterberg has been awarded the Conn Smythe award as the MVP of the playoffs, according to the AP. He scored six points against the Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals, with two points coming in Game 6 last night.

Our View:Zetterberg finished the playoffs with 27 points matching him with Sidney Crosby for the lead. His 13 goals also tied him for first with teammate Johan Franzen.

The Detroit News suggests that Henrik Zetterberg may be solely responsible for securing the Stanley Cup. And guaranteed Zetterberg the Conn Smythe Trophy.

Our View:Yes, it was a terrific individual effort by Zetterberg, and the game-saving penalty kill in the third period of Saturday's Game 4 was one for the ages. But giving the winger full credit for a sport that might be more team oriented than any of the three majors -- is a bit over-the-top.

The Detroit News reports that Coach Mike Babcock has been bothered by the work of his top power-play unit -- Henrik Zetterberg , Pavel Datsyuk, Tomas Holmstrom, Nicklas Lidstrom and Brian Rafalski. He also was upset Zetterberg's group stayed on the ice longer than the standard 35-second shifts Wednesday night, sapping their effectiveness.

Our View:Zetterberg has 22 points (10 assists) over 17 games in the playoffs this season. Tough to complain about that.

The Detroit Red Wings may have suffered their first loss of the Western Conference finals, but winger Henrik Zetterberg did what he could to reverse their fortunes. Zetterberg scored the Red Wings' lone goal of the evening, giving him 10 total postseason goals this season.

Our View:In 14 playoff games for the Red Wings this year, Zetterberg has failed to score a point in just two. He's a men among boys and playing as well as his team needs to keep moving forward.

Henrik Zetterberg picked up his 40th goal of the year in Detroit's 4-1 victory over Columbus. Zetterberg is on fire, scoring four goals in as many games with three assists to boot. Tonight's net puts him in the 40-40 club (40 goals, 40 assists) for the season and has him in the good graces of every fantasy owner lucky enough to list him in the roster.

Henrik Zetterberg netted three goals, all in the third period, to help the Red Wings emerge victorious over the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-1. This is the third hat trick of Zetterberg’s career and works to get him to 83 points on the season, two points off his career high (and he’s only 27-years of age, so he has plenty of game left in him and seems to be well in his way towards a wonderful career).

Not only did the Red Wings lose their fourth straight game to Nashville on Tuesday night, Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg ended a seven-game points streak. The Red Wings, arguably the best team in Hockey, are in their worst slump in years. Zetterberg registered a -3 game in over 22 minutes of ice time.
