Kristian Huselius tallied a goal and an assist for Columbus in Friday's 5-3 win over Minnesota.

Our View:Huselius comes over from Calgary where he had 66 points a season ago. It will be interesting to see what kind of chemistry he finds on his new team and if he will play on Rick Nash's line.
July 2, 2008
Kristian Huselius has left Calgary as he inked a four-year deal with Columbus worth $4.75 million a season, according to TSN.

Our View:Huselius was a great acquisition for the Blue Jackets, as he scored 25 goals and 41 assists (66 points) over 81 games with the Flames in 2007-08, along with 40 penalty minutes.

The Islanders may take another shot at Kristian Huselius when he becomes a free agent on July 1, according to NY Newsday.

Our View:GM Garth Snow tried to acquire Huselius at the trade deadline but the deal fell through due a lack of time. Snow offered approximately what Huselius is expected to be offered Tuesday, and was well above what the Flames could afford at the time. Snow added that the Islanders won't be major players during free agency. Huselius would be a rock solid addition to the club, as he scored 25 goals and 41 assists (66 points) over 81 games with Calgary in 2007-08.
