Initially upset about being traded from L.A. to Edmonton, Lubomir Visnovsky has grown to love his new city, according to TSN. "I was so mad because I signed a big deal with the Kings, I wanted to stay there," Visnovsky told TSN. "I felt like they were my hometown, it was a big surprise for me. I look here at this city and everybody loves hockey. The Stanley Cup is my dream; I think (Edmonton) has a big chance for the next couple of years to win the Stanley Cup so I am happy right now with this team."

Our View:Visnovsky's ability to move the puck will help the Oilers attack and give them another powerplay option. The defenseman had eight goals and 33 assists for the Kings over his 82 games last season with 22 of those points on the powerplay. Expect him to remain a powerplay fixture with the Oilers. "He's a pretty strong," commented forward Erik Cole. "I think I saw him putting up over 300 lbs (bench-press) for a couple of reps in testing on the first day."

The Oilers have acquired defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky from the Kings in exchange for forward Jarret Stoll and defenseman Matt Greene, the AP reports.

Our View:Visnovsky had a down season after signing a five-year extension last July. Moving away from the lowly Kings may be a good thing for his fantasy value, and we hope he can shoot back up above 55 points in 2008-09.
