Coach Jacques Lemaire says he’ll return for an eighth season with the Wild, according to the AP.

Our View:Lemaire has a career record of 500-381-168 over 14 years of coaching service, including 60-52 in the playoffs. But with the Wild, he’s gone a disappointing 11-18 in the playoffs.

Minnesota winger Marian Gaborik underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on Friday to relieve irritation in his right hip resulting from a torn labrum and resulting pressure, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Gaborik struggled with the pain of this inflammation throughout the season and the Wild report the surgery was a success, believing his recovery time will be minimal and stating Gaborik should be ready for training camp. The injury will keep him from playing for Slovakia in this month's World Championships.

We may now have at least a partial explanation of why Marian Gaborik was so poor in the first round of the playoffs, he was hurt, according to NHL.com. According to the report Gaborik has a "hip deficiency attributable to overuse."

Our View:Well, this partially explains the lack of point production, but it doesn't let him off the hook either. Gaborik will have a long summer to get himself in shape.
