Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro should be healthy and ready to go come training camp, according to New York Newsday.

Our View:DiPietro disappointed fantasy owners by playing in just five games this season due to knee injuries. He didn't play well when he was on the ice, with a save percentage of .892, and GAA of 3.52.

The Miami Herald reports that Isles goaltender Rick DiPietro will miss the remainder of the season due to ongoing complications from his surgically repaired knee. The source who revealed the information spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team has yet to make an announcement.

Our View:The team with the fewest amount of points in the league is now down to two healthy goaltenders, one of which is Yann Danis, a rookie who has played a majority of the season in the AHL, and Wade Dubielewicz, a reserve who was recently acquired from Columbus. The two will likely split time in the absence of DiPietro's backup, Joey MacDonald, who will miss two to four weeks with a strained groin.

The Islanders will play a pre-season game in Kansas City's Sprint Center next fall, according to TSN.

Our View:The St. Louis Blues hosted an exhibition game against the Los Angeles Kings during this past pre-season, but with the Islanders playing so far from home, it will just add to speculation that the club is looking to move. The team's owner Charles Wang has been trying to get a new arena for the club for years, but hasn't had any success.
