July 1, 2008 Goalie Stephen Valiquette has re-signed with the Rangers, according to Our View:Valiquette fared well last season as he went 5-3-3 with a 2.19 GAA, but it looks like his fantasy value will remain limited while serving as Henrik Lundqvist's backup in New York. |

February 10, 2008 Stephen Valiquette started his second straight game on Sunday allowing three goals in 24 shots as the Rangers fell 3-2 in OT to the Capitals. Henrik Lundqvist owners don't panic. The team made the decision to go with Valiquette on Sunday because of his great play last time out (SO), but this team still lives and dies with Lundqvist, so look for him to be in net for the team's next game. |

February 9, 2008 Stephen Valiquette giving starter Henrik Lundqvist a rare game off stopped all 31 Flyers shots that he faced Saturday for his second shutout of the season in only his eight start. Lundqvist will continue to receive almost every start for the Blueshirts, but the team has to feel very comfortable with its backup at this point who improved his record to 4-3-1 on the year. |
