The Canucks have sent center Jason Krog to the minors, according to TSN.ca.

Our View:With the move of Krog to the minor leagues, Michel Ouellet will replace him in the lineup.

The Canadian Press reports that Vancouver Canucks recalled center Jason Krog from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.

Our View:Krog, 33, recorded five points in four games with the Moose this season. Krog led the AHL in scoring last season with 112 points in 80 games with the Chicago Wolves. He added another 36 points in 24 playoff games to help the Wolves win the Calder Cup.

Jason Krog, a former Hobey Baker award winner, was waived by Vancouver, according to TSN. He had registered a goal and an assist in five preseason games.

Our View:The veteran center was attempting to come back to the NHL this season and its uncertain weather or not he will join Vancouver's AHL squad. He had 39 goals and 112 points in 80 regular-season games with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL last season, and helped them to the Calder Cup Championship. Krog also added 10 goals and 36 points on his way to earning the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as playoff MVP.
