The Bruins signed free agent Glen Metropolit to an undisclosed contract on Wednesday. He was awarded the deal after trying out for the squad during preseason.

The Blues acquired Glen Metropolit and multiple draft picks from the Thrashers Sunday in exchange for Keith Tkachuk, according to the AP. Metropolit has a career-high 28 points in 57 games this season.
