Red Wings defenseman Brian Rafalski missed the team' practice on Friday with a sore knee, according to the Detroit News.

Our View:Despite the malady, Rafalski maintained that he would be in the lineup when the Red Wings take on the Senators Saturday night.

Brian Rafalski chipped in a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 three-overtime loss to the Penguins in Game 5. He now has three points in the Finals, with an assist coming in each of his last two battles.

Our View:The enforcer had another strong outing, but it wasn't enough to finish off the Penguins. Detroit now holds a 3-2 lead in the series.

Brian Rafalski generated two assists in Thursday's 4-3 win over Colorado in Game 1. He now has six points over seven games in the playoffs.

Our View:Rafalski is among the most productive enforcers in the NHL, as he scored 55 points over 73 games in the regular season, with 10 power-play goals to his credit. He should remain a solid source of points until the Red Wings play their final game.

Brian Rafalski finally returned to action on Wednesday night and he scored a goal and was a +3 in his first game back after being out since February 12th because of a groin injury. Rafalski is a pretty amazing +24 on the year with 47 points in 60 games, and with Nicklas Lidstrom targeting a return this weekend, look for the Wings to once again become the machine that they were earlier in the year with their full compliment of players.

The Red Wings activated Brian Rafalski from injured reserve on Tuesday, according to the AP. He has missed eight games due to a strained groin, but he'll be back in action for the Red Wings on Wednesday evening.

Brian Rafalski was scratched from his third straight game on Monday night due to a sore groin. The team doesn't want to rush Rafalski back, but with Nicklas Lidstrom likely out of action for a while, they will need Rafalski's offense back in the lineup.

Brian Rafalski missed another game on Sunday because of his injured groin, though he hopes to be able to return to action on Monday night to face the Avalanche according to a report on NHL.com. Rafalski has been one of the top-5 defensemen in the NHL virtually all season, he has 46 points and is a +20 in 59 games, and along with Nicklas Lidstrom gives the Wings a lethal duo on the blueline.

Brian Rafalski didn't practice Thursday because of a tight groin. "Hopefully it'll be looser when I come in (today)," Rafalski said to the Detroit News. The defenseman said he hoped he could play Friday, but coach Mike Babcock has already declared Rafalski out.
