Tim Connolly's season is over after it was announced that he would have season ending hip surgery, this according to NHL.com. The hip injury has bothered the oft-injured scoring star for almost three months, and this injury certainly won't help bolster the Sabres fading playoff hopes. Connolly had 40 points in 48 games this season a year after he was limited to just two games due to injury. Drop him immediately and look for scoring elsewhere down the stretch.
