Daniel Briere underwent successful corrective eye surgery today, according to TSN. Surgeon Michael Fung said, "Everything went well. It went as expected with no problems or complications. Danny tolerated the surgery well and went home with his wife this morning. He will feel irritation in both eyes for the next couple of days and we will see how he is feeling next week."

Our View:Briere should be fine for training camp after recovering from his minor eye procedure.

SI.com is reporting that Daniel Briere will have corrective eye sugery called photorefractive keratectomy because his contact lenses started to bother him during the season.

Our View:This is a minor surgery, so it should not have any effect on Briere next season. He is only expected to need a few weeks to recover.

Daniel Briere registered a goal and an assist in the Flyers final game of their season as they fell 5-3 to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Our View:Briere had an abbreviated season of just 29 games and still managed 25 points. However, until today's game he was mostly shutout in the playoffs. The center had two assists and no goals in Philly's first five games.
