Georges Laraque will miss Monday's game while nursing a groin injury, according to TSN.

Our View:The team has called up center Kyle Chipchura for the game for depth. Laraque is yet to score a goal or assist this season over two games, but held some fantasy value with 14 penalty minutes.
October 16, 2008
Georges Laraque returned to the Canadiens in their 4-3 shootout win over the Bruins on Wednesday. One of the toughest players in the league, Laraque wasted no time before squaring off with Shawn Thornton.

Our View:Laraque had been dealing with a groin injury and missed the first week of the season. He had 141 PIM a season ago but just 13 points in 71 games.
October 9, 2008
Georges Laraque will miss the Canadien's season opener due to a groin injury, according to the AP.

Our View:Laraque, once the heavyweight par excellence in the NHL, can still drop the gloves when needed, but his offensive game is minimal and he hasn't recorded 150 PIM since 2001, so even if healthy, he really has no value. He has been out with the injury since the end of September.
