Brian Boucher had another solid night for the Sharks on Saturday, earning his seventh win in nine games. He stopped 19-of-21 shots against the Capitals.

Our View:Boucher has a lot of fantasy value right now, even in a backup role as he's playing for arguably the best team in the NHL.

Brian Boucher continues to have an excellent season in between the pipes even after replacing the injured Evgeni Nabokov. On Monday, he saved 32 of 33 shots as the Sharks defeated the Predators 4-1.

Our View:Boucher has a sub-2 GAA in eight starts and carries a 6-1-1 record.
November 14, 2008
Brian Boucher stopped 21 of 22 shots on Thursday night as the Sharks defeated the Flames by the score of 6-1.

Our View:Boucher is 4-1-1 on the year and he has allowed one or zero goals in four of his six appearances. With Evgeni Nabokov on the sidelines, Boucher has played so well that the Sharks haven't missed a single beat.

Brian Boucher, as expected, will start in nets for the Sharks on Thursday night, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Our View:Evgeni Nabokov continues to work on coming back from his lower body injury, and though the team was hopeful that he would be back by now, there is no reason to be worried with the steady Boucher in net.
November 9, 2008
Starting his second straight game since Evgeni Nabokov went down to injury, Brian Boucher lost for the first time in four starts on the year as he allowed three goals on 29 shots against the Coyotes.

Our View:Since joining the Sharks last season, Boucher has started nine games and this was just the second time that he allowed more than two goals. Nabokov will probably be back by the end of the week, but you can have confidence that Boucher will play well when he is in the game.

Sharks goalie Brian Boucher stopped each of the 22 shots Tampa Bay threw at him, earning his second victory - and second shutout - in as many starts on the year.

Our View:It's hard to get better than perfect, but that's exactly what he's been this season. Two games, 43 shots against, no goals allowed. His lack of playing time obviously hurts his fantasy value, as he is behind Evgeni Nabokov.

Goaltender Brian Boucher got his first start of the season on Sunday night and shut out the Kings on the road. San Jose needed each of his 21 saves as the Sharks won 1-0.

Our View:Boucher was critical down the stretch for San Jose last year while posting a 1.76 GAA in his five appearances. He started three times and won all three games. However, he is more of a veteran presence behind superstar goalie Evgeni Nabokov than a fantasy worthy keeper. He is only worth owning if you also have the guy starting ahead of him.

Brian Boucher resigned with the Sharks to provide a veteran presence behind superstar goalie Evgeni Nabokov, according to the Sharks Official Website. “Brian came in and played very well for us down the stretch,” said GM Doug Wilson. “With his regular season and postseason experience, it gives us a goaltending tandem that is second-to-none in the NHL.”

Our View:With Nabokov likely to play 70+ games yet again in the coming season, Boucher holds no value in fantasy leagues, though that doesn't mean he couldn't step up and do a solid job if Nabokov were to go down to injury.

Brian Boucher made 23 saves in his first start of the season on Saturday night helping the Sharks beat the Blues 2-0. Boucher, a former first-round draft pick and member of the NHL's all-rookie team in 1999-2000, was claimed off waivers from the Blackhawks on Tuesday.
