Jeff Garcia will likely get the starting nod at quarterback in Week 6 against Carolina, according to the AP. Brian Griese missed practice Friday and when asked if Garcia will start, coach Jon Gruden answered, "That’s the way it looks right now, yes."
Our View:Garcia is not a favorable fantasy option against Carolina, especially with Joey Galloway expected to miss his fourth straight game with a foot sprain.
Buccaneers linebacker Barrett Ruud will be able to play on Sunday when the team takes on the Carolina Panthers, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Our View:Ruud practiced on Friday after missing time earlier in the week with a sprained knee. He has been a solid player, accumulating 36 tackles with one sack and two interceptions on the season.
Bucs wideout Joey Galloway did not practice on Friday, and the chances of him playing on Sunday are grim, according to the Tampa Tribune.
Our View:Galloway has a sprained foot, and has played in just two games this year. He has eight catches for 74 yards and no touchdowns, to the disappointment of fantasy owners.
