Lorenzo Booker, RB Friday 9/5, 5:20 PM CT
Lorenzo Booker played through a hip pointer in the Eagles' exhibition finale but should play in week one.
Reggie Brown, WR Friday 9/5, 1:50 PM CT
Reggie Brown missed Friday's practice due to his hamstring ailment and is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against St. Louis, according to the Eagles' official website. He re-aggravated the injury during practice Wednesday and coach Andy Reid said, "He went out and practiced and it just didn't feel too right to him. He stretched out for a ball and felt a kind of a tug in there, so we backed off immediately on him. We'll see how he does here in the next day. Right now, obviously, it's what it says, it's doubtful."

Our View: The team is already without Kevin Curtis, last season's leading receiver, and it looks like they will have to manage without Brown as well. Rookie DeSean Jackson will be forced to serve a more prominent role in he game, and would have a great opportunity to earn more playing time if he steps up with a solid performance.
DeSean Jackson, WR Thursday 9/4, 3:26 PM CT
The St. Louis Rams opted to take wide receiver Donnie Avery in the second round of the draft instead of DeSean Jackson, which angered him, and now he would like to exact some revenge on Sunday, according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com. "It's one of those teams that I feel like kind of told me that they wanted me and all this stuff. But with being young and knowing how the process goes, I kind of understand now. But I definitely have that in the back of my mind," Jackson said.

Our View: Jackson will have his chance, as he is expected to get a start at wide receiver in the game. Meanwhile, Avery may not play because of a lingering knee issue.
Reggie Brown, WR Thursday 9/4, 3:23 PM CT
Eagles wide receiver Reggie Brown did not participate in practice on Thursday, as his hamstring is still giving him problems, according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com.

Our View: It is unknown if Brown will play on Sunday against the Rams, and he is considered day-to-day.
Reggie Brown, WR Thursday 9/4, 9:30 AM CT
Though Reggie Brown returned to the practice field, he was limited in what he could do because of a hamstring strain, and how much he'll be able to go Week 1 remains to be seen, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We'll just play it day by day and see how he does," Eagles coach Andy Reid said.

Our View: Hamstring injuries are nagging, which makes Brown a risky start for fantasy owners. Unless he is fully cleared by Sunday, it may be wise to look a different direction.
DeSean Jackson, WR Thursday 9/4, 9:28 AM CT
Eagles rookie wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be one of the starting wide receivers Week 1 when Philadelphia faces off against the Rams, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: Jackson had been impressive during training camp for the Eagles, and now will get a chance to do it for real. He is certainly worth a late-round flier in fantasy drafts, or picking up off the waiver wire if your team needs a wide out.
Reggie Brown, WR Wednesday 9/3, 2:54 PM CT
Reggie Brown returned to practice Wednesday, according to the Eagles' official website. He missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury.

Our View: Brown's injury could return this season, but looks to be good to go for Week 1 against the Rams, whose secondary has also dealt with key injuries, namely to Fakhir Brown and Oshiomogho Atogwe. Barring a setback, Brown should be penciled in as a No. 2 receiver for Sunday.
Lito Sheppard, CB Tuesday 9/2, 8:22 PM CT
An NFL team made a trade offer for Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard, but the team turned them down, according to ProFootballWeekly.com.

Our View: Sheppard has wanted out of Philly in the worst way since the team signed Asante Samuel, but at this point that doesn't seem likely. He's about as solid a third corner as a team can have.
Chris Clemons, DE Tuesday 9/2, 10:50 AM CT
Chris Clemons had an uneventful preseason due to injuries but aims to have a productive regular season as a pass-rusher with the Eagles, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He said, "Just show up on Sundays and take notes. The proof is in the pudding. Unfortunately, the injuries came in the preseason, and I wasn't able to show the organization exactly what I'm capable of doing. Would the fans rather see me in the preseason or in the regular season? That's the question. Not to say that preseason isn't important, but at the end of the day, if you get hurt in the preseason, then there is no regular season."

Our View: Clemens emerged as a pass-rushing threat with Oakland last season as he racked up eight sacks, and he is worthy of a roster spot as a backup in IDP leagues, especially those that put a premium on sacks.
Torrance Daniels, LB Monday 9/1, 9:51 PM CT
Torrance Daniels has been claimed off waivers by the Eagles, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. He was let go by the Giants. Linebacker Rocky Boiman has been released to make room on the roster.

Our View: He was a special teams contributor with the Giants last season, and had a key forced fumble at the start of the second half that led to a field goal in the Giants' wildcard playoff win over the Buccaneers. This is his second stint with the Eagles, as he was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2006.
Lito Sheppard, CB Monday 9/1, 4:04 PM CT
Lito Sheppard is displeased with being reduced to a backup role at cornerback, according to the AP. When asked why he isn't starting, Sheppard said, "That’s a good question. You should ask that right now. Given the reasons supposedly about my injuries and not being able to stay on the field, with that not being an issue, what is the issue?"

Our View: Sheppard is a two-time Pro Bowler, and still has the ability to shut down receivers, but was reduced to a backup role following the signing of Asante Samuel. Sheppard wanted to be traded, but the team did not satisfy his wish.
Max Jean-Gilles, G Monday 9/1, 8:15 AM CT
The Eagles thought guard Max Jean-Gilles' knee injury suffered in the team's final preseason game could have been serious, but it appears it is just a sprained knee and he will be able to play Week 1, according to PhillyBurbs.com.

Our View: Jean-Gilles is the backup at both guard positions, so his health is an important piece of the offensive line should a starter go down.
Chris Clemons, DE Monday 9/1, 8:12 AM CT
Defensive end Chris Clemons, healed from his calf strain, will practice this week and should be ready to go Week 1 when the Eagles take on the Rams, according to PhillyBurbs.com.

Our View: Clemons had eight sacks with the Raiders a season ago, and will be a pass rushing threat with the Eagles.
Kevin Curtis, WR Monday 9/1, 8:10 AM CT
Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis is ahead of schedule in his rehab from a sports hernia, and could return quicker than the team thought, according to PhillyBurbs.com.

Our View: Good news for fantasy owners, as Curtis makes a solid No. 3 receiver, having hauled in 77 passes for 1,110 yards and six touchdowns a year ago.
Andy Studebaker, LB Monday 9/1, 7:56 AM CT
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed LB Andy Studebaker, FB Jed Collins, CB Kyle Arrington, DT Mike Marquardt, and WR Shaheer McBride to their practice squad, according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com.

Our View: Each player can be signed by another team at any time and be put on their active roster, but unless that happens, they hold no fantasy value.
