Aaron Kampman, DE Wednesday 9/8, 5:08 PM CT
Aaron Kampman (knee) is not on the Jaguars injury report, according to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union.

Our View: Stellino sounds hopeful, adding that "Kampman didn't even have a wrap on his knee." He's coming off a torn ACL, but the quicker he returns, the brighter the outlook for Jacksonville's pass rush. He's got a shot to play week one.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Wednesday 9/8, 3:44 PM CT
Maurice Jones-Drew claims that his knee is just fine despite reports stating the contrary, according to the Denver Post. "There is no injury," he said.

Our View: While we're not going to forget about his knee ailment altogether, we'll trust MJD for now. While we'd suggest grabbing Rashad Jennings as a handcuff, there's still no doubt that MJD should be in all fantasy lineups this week.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Wednesday 9/8, 1:55 PM CT
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sportscenter today that people around the league are skeptical of the health of Maurice Jones-Drew's knee.

Our View: His status for Week 1 is not in doubt, as he'll be in the starting lineup. Still, he may not be at 100 percent, and you have to hope that he isn't hit awkwardly in the wrong place. MJD owners should certainly own Rashad Jennings as a handcuff.
Uche Nwaneri, OL Tuesday 9/7, 6:30 PM CT
Updating an earlier item, Uche Nwaneri's contract extension is for $24 million over five years, according to Fox Sports' Adam Caplan.

Our View: Between $8 and $9 million of that is guaranteed. Jacksonville's best offensive lineman, he'll man left guard in 2010.
Uche Nwaneri, OL Tuesday 9/7, 5:45 PM CT
According to Fox Sports' Adam Caplan, the "Jaguars and starting left guard Uche Nwaneri have agreed on a new deal."

Our View: Financial terms are not yet available. Originally given a chance to start at center this season, he settled back in at left guard in training camp.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Monday 9/6, 12:41 PM CT
Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) practiced with the Jaguars on Monday, according to the Florida Times-Union's Tania Ganguli.

Our View: He's said all along that he'll be good to go by Week 1, and there's no reason not to believe him. We'd certainly consider drafting Ray Rice ahead of him at the three, but MJD still should not fall anywhere later than the four. He'll be locked into your lineup in Week 1, and the rest of the season as long as he's healthy.
Atiyyah Ellison, DT Sunday 9/5, 1:39 PM CT
Atiyyah Ellison was released by the Jaguars, according to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.

Our View: This guy hasn't done nearly enough to warrant the $1.2 million he would have been owed this season. Leger Douzable and Landon Cohen will be the backups behind Tyson Alualu and Terrance Knighton.
Troy Williamson, WR Saturday 9/4, 10:42 PM CT
Troy Williamson has been released by the Jaguars, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Our View: The career of the former number seven overall pick looks to be coming to a close. With a glut of receivers currently available on the open market, don't expect him to get signed any time soon.
Reggie Nelson, S Saturday 9/4, 5:37 PM CT
According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals have acquired safety Reggie Nelson from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Our View: In exchange, they shipped out cornerback David Jones. Nelson is coming off of a 70-tackle season, and could be a nice IDP sleeper as a part of Cincinnati's solid defense.
Kolby Smith, RB Friday 9/3, 1:43 PM CT
Kolby Smith has been released by the Jaguars, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Our View: Smith has seen a bit of relevancy at points with the Chiefs that past few seasons but was unable to win a spot with Jacksonville. It remains to be seen if someone else will sign him.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Thursday 9/2, 11:30 PM CT
Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) says that he will begin practicing Monday in preparation of the team's week one game against the Broncos, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Jones-Drew has been sidelined with some knee issues, and he's recently come out to say that he did not undergo offseason surgery. He's expected to be fully healthy and ready to go against a suspect Denver run defense week one, and he's worthy of a top-three pick in fantasy drafts.
