Steve Heiden, TE Saturday 11/22, 10:54 AM CT
Tight end Steve Heiden is listed as questionable for Week 12 with a elbow injury, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: With Kellen Winslow back Heiden doesn't have as much fantasy value.
Shaun Smith, DE Saturday 11/22, 10:35 AM CT
Browns defensive lineman Shaun Smith did not practice on Friday and is doubtful for Sunday's game with a strained calf muscle, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Smith only has 17 tackles this year and doesn't hold any fantasy value.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Saturday 11/22, 8:45 AM CT
Tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. has an injured shoulder but is listed as questionable on the Browns injury report, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View: Ever since Winslow was suspended he has been playing much better. In eight games this year he has three touchdowns and 402 yards receiving.
Brady Quinn, QB Saturday 11/22, 8:26 AM CT
Brady Quinn suffered a broken finger last week but is listed as probably on the Browns injury report, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View: Quinn has played well in his first two games as a starter but with the injury he may be a risky play this weekend.
Shaun Rogers, DT Friday 11/21, 3:36 PM CT
Shaun Rogers (neck) has been limited in the Browns' last two practices and he is listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

Our View: Rogers is a huge part of their defense - literally. He has 4.5 sacks this season to go with 52 tackles and his absence would be great news for the Texans' offense.
Brady Quinn, QB Friday 11/21, 3:34 PM CT
Brady Quinn (fractured finger) has been a full participant in practice the past two days and he is probable to start on Sunday against Houston, according to the injury report.

Our View: The quarterback remains a risky play. He was not very good last week and should the finger be furthered injured after, say, Mario Williams slams him to the ground, the Browns would probably be quick to turn the game over to Houston...I mean, Derek Anderson.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Friday 11/21, 3:30 PM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr. (shoulder) was limited in Friday's practice and is questionable, according to the team's injury report.

Our View: Winslow has played well since his suspension, but appears to be a risky start this week. We're betting he's a go come game-time.
Willie McGinest, LB Thursday 11/20, 5:31 PM CT
Browns general manager Phil Savage admitted to replying to an email from a fan that called him the worst GM in the NFL with a response that went, "Go root for Buffalo - f&@* you," according to Scout.com. Savage has since apologized for his actions, saying, "There had been previous e-mails from him over the months and enough was enough. We have both apologized to each other."

Our View: Savage and the Browns have endured a tough season so far, a year after going 10-6 but making the playoffs, so there is clearly frustration in Cleveland.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Thursday 11/20, 3:48 PM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr. is not practicing Thursday while nursing his sprained right shoulder, but coach Romeo Crennel is yet to rule him out for Sunday's battle with the Texans, according to the Browns' official website.

Our View: His status will likely depend on his participation in Friday's practice, and a key issue will involve Winslow's strength and range of motion.
Shaun Rogers, DT Thursday 11/20, 11:21 AM CT
Shaun Rogers is expected to return to practice Thursday after sitting out with general soreness yesterday, according to the Browns' official website.

Our View: He will be questionable for Week 12 against Steve Slaton and the Texans. The Browns' 28th ranked run defense cannot afford to be without the solid defensive tackle.
Brady Quinn, QB Thursday 11/20, 10:44 AM CT
Brady Quinn is dealing with a small fracture in his right index finger, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: He is still expected to start Sunday's game against the Texans, so Derek Anderson is not likely going to get a chance to win his job back. Quinn will sport a splint on the finger when he's not practicing or playing.
Jerome Harrison, RB Wednesday 11/19, 6:07 PM CT
Jerome Harrison did not practice on Wednesday, according to the Browns' official site.

Our View: Harrison hasn't had a ton of fantasy value this season, but has come on as of late. We'll keep you posted on his status.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Wednesday 11/19, 11:35 AM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr. has a sprained right shoulder, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: His playing status for Sunday against the Texans is uncertain. He will not practice Wednesday and coach Romeo Crennel won't speculate on his availability, but noted that the key issue will involve Winslow's strength and range of motion.
Jerome Harrison, RB Tuesday 11/18, 10:36 PM CT
Jerome Harrison's status for Sunday is uncertain after he injured his hamstring on Monday night, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Harrison has been fairly productive in his last two games, but still doesn't have a ton of fantasy value.
Sean Jones, S Tuesday 11/18, 2:36 PM CT
Sean Jones sprained his ankle during Monday's game at Buffalo, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: He is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. He was already dealing with swelling in his surgically repaired knee.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Tuesday 11/18, 2:33 PM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr. is slated for an MRI after injuring his right shoulder in Monday's battle with Buffalo, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Coach Romeo Crennel said, "We'll check him out and see if he'll be able to do much this week."

Our View: It was the same shoulder that bothered him over the course of last season. We will keep you posted on the elite tight end's status for Week 12 against the Texans.
Braylon Edwards, WR Monday 11/17, 11:42 PM CT
Braylon Edwards had just his second 100-yard game of the season on Monday as the Browns defeated the Bills 29-27. He had eight catches for 104 yards, but failed to grab a touchdown.

Our View: Edwards has a mere 35 catches on the season. Prior to Week 11, his biggest single-game total this season had been five. He seems to be a far cry away from his 80-catch, 16 touchdown performance from a season ago. Hopefully, Brady Quinn will get him going in that direction once again.
Phil Dawson, K Monday 11/17, 11:24 PM CT
Phil Dawson hit a perfect 5-for-5 on his field goal attempts to help carry the Browns to a 29-27 win over the Bills.

Our View: Dawson's final kick was a 56 yarder to put the Browns ahead. Rarely do kickers have as much impact in a given fantasy week as Dawson did in Week 11.
Brady Quinn, QB Monday 11/17, 11:18 PM CT
Brady Quinn was not very good but avoided big mistakes as the Browns won 29-27 on Monday night against Cleveland. He completed just 14-of-36 passes for 185 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He also carried the ball four times for 18 yards.

Our View: The Browns victory was probably all he needed to keep his job ahead of Derek Anderson. His performance looked a lot better when compared with his opponent, Trent Edwards, who threw three first half interceptions.
Shaun Smith, DE Monday 11/17, 10:39 PM CT
The AP reports that Shaun Smith did not return to Monday night's game after aggravating a calf injury while tackling Marshawn Lynch in the third quarter. He was limping as he left the field and went immediately to the Browns’ locker room. Smith was initially hurt in the first half.

Our View: Smith has just 11 tackles on the season.
Martin Rucker, TE Monday 11/17, 6:42 PM CT
Week 11 inactives for the Browns include Martin Rucker, Ken Dorsey, Gerard Lawson, Hamza Abdullah, Lawrence Vickers, Beau Bell, Scott Young, and Steve Sanders.

Our View: No big surprises here. The majority of these players serve only as backups.
Sean Jones, S Saturday 11/15, 2:52 PM CT
Sean Jones is frustrated that the Browns keep stating his surgically repaired knee is swelling after games and that his playing time will be reduced by a safety rotation, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Jones said, "Honestly, I am mad. I've been out here playing great football for Cleveland for the last three years and I really don't like how my knee always gets mentioned. It's just kind of frustrating. I definitely don't want to disrespect anybody. I'm just telling the truth. My knee is not swelling up after the game. I feel fine. It's just precautionary."

Our View: When healthy, Jones is an elite defensive back for IDP leagues. He registered eight tackles (seven solo) in his last game against the Broncos, but looks to be a risky fantasy option for Week 11 at Buffalo with the possibility of reduced playing time.
Jerome Harrison, RB Thursday 11/13, 9:09 PM CT
Jerome Harrison was heavily involved last week in the first quarter before basically disappearing the rest of the game. Look for the club to get Harrison some more consistent work moving forward, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. We're going to try to see if we can be a little more consistent about getting the ball in his hands," HC Romeo Crennell said.

Our View: Harrison racked up five touches for 44 yards in that first quarter scoring drive showing that he can be a useful change of pace back to the straight ahead running of Jamal Lewis.
Jamal Lewis, RB Thursday 11/13, 9:48 AM CT
Cleveland running back Jamal Lewis has recently said he thought his team quit in the game against Denver last Thursday, but head coach Romeo Crennel disputed that notion, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. "The word 'quit' has taken a life of its own and grown a little bit bigger, and now the Browns are quitters and the coach has lost control of the team and there's division in the locker room, and that's not the case," Crennel said.

Our View: Clearly, Crennel needs to state his case because he cannot have people thinking he is failing to motivate his players properly. Whether the team quit or not is up for debate, but what is not is that they desperately need a win against Buffalo to have any semi-realistic shot of a wild-card spot.
Brady Quinn, QB Wednesday 11/12, 12:12 PM CT
The Browns were pleased with Brady Quinn's performance in his first career start against the Broncos, and are reportedly going to open up the playbook with more passing plays for him, according to Scout.com.

Our View: Quinn was limited to mostly short passes in his first start as the team did not want to overload him, but will be given the freedom to throw downfield more as the team feels more comfortable with him directing the offense. He will be challenged in Week 11 by a solid Bills' pass defense that has only surrendered seven scores through the air.
Lawrence Vickers, RB Wednesday 11/12, 10:53 AM CT
Lawrence Vickers missed Wednesday's practice while dealing with an ankle injury, according to the Browns' official website.

Our View: Vickers holds no fantasy value, but he is a solid blocker as the Browns' starting fullback, and will be needed while contending with the Bills. They don't play until Monday night, hence giving Vickers more time to get ready.
Eric Steinbach, G Wednesday 11/12, 10:49 AM CT
Eric Steinbach missed Wednesday's practice while dealing with his rib injury, according to the Browns' official website.

Our View: He hasn't been ruled out for Week 11, and the team will see how his ailment responds over the next few days. The Browns don't battle the Bills until Monday night, giving the elite guard more time to recover.
Shaun Rogers, DT Wednesday 11/12, 10:46 AM CT
Shaun Rogers missed Wednesday's practice due to his neck ailment, according to the Browns' official website.

Our View: Rogers has been performing very well in his first campaign with the Browns as he contributed 46 tackles (38 solo) and 4.5 sacks, and the Bills' offense would benefit if he is unable to go in Week 11.
Braylon Edwards, WR Thursday 11/6, 11:58 PM CT
Braylon Edwards continued to disappoint fantasy owners Thursday night, making just one catch for 15 yards.

Our View: Edwards has been a huge bust in fantasy this year, reaching 100-yards receiving just once with only three touchdowns.
Jamal Lewis, RB Thursday 11/6, 11:58 PM CT
Jamal Lewis led the Browns in rushing on Thursday night with 19 carries for 60 yards and one score against the Broncos. He also added two receptions for 24 yards.

Our View: It wasn't a very good night for Lewis, but the end zone dance certainly makes the evening more than palatable. Lewis has carried the ball at least 19 times in 6-straight games, but this is the second week in a row that he was held to under 65 yards rushing.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Thursday 11/6, 10:57 PM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr. had a huge night for the Browns, finishing with two touchdowns and 111 yards receiving on 10 receptions.

Our View: Winslow Jr. was easily Brady Quinn's favorite target on Thursday night, and should see plenty of balls thrown his way in coming weeks.
Brady Quinn, QB Thursday 11/6, 10:50 PM CT
Brady Quinn was very impressive in his NFL debut, going 23 for 35 with 239 yards and two touchdowns. He also didn't commit any turnovers.

Our View: Quinn is certainly worth a look for fantasy purposes. Just don't get too excited about him yet, as the Broncos own one of the worst defenses in the league.
Shaun Rogers, DT Thursday 11/6, 9:30 PM CT
Shaun Rogers was injured during the third quarter of Thursday's game. It's unclear if it was due to the rib injury that made his status questionable coming into the game.

Our View: Rogers is owned in about half of leagues, and fantasy owners should keep a close eye on his injury status.
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Thursday 11/6, 8:54 PM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr. had two touchdown receptions in the first half with 50 receiving yards.

Our View: Tight ends are typically security blankets for young quarterbacks, and that theory is being proven so far in Thursday's game. Winslow's stock may be on the rise if Quinn remains the starting quarterback.
Brady Quinn, QB Thursday 11/6, 8:46 PM CT
Brady Quinn is off to a great start in his NFL debut. At halftime, Quinn has thrown for 11 of 15 for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Both touchdown passes were to tight end Kellen Winslow Jr.

Our View: Quinn's fantasy value is certainly on its way up, but his true value might be easier to gauge after next week when the Browns play a much stronger defensive team in Buffalo.
Brady Quinn, QB Thursday 11/6, 7:54 PM CT
Brady Quinn threw for his first career touchdown pass to tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. Thursday night against the Broncos in the first quarter.

Our View: If Quinn performs well all game for the Browns, he might be worth a look in fantasy leagues.
Martin Rucker, TE Thursday 11/6, 6:27 PM CT
The Browns' inactive players for Thursday night are TE Martin Rucker, DB Travis Daniels, LG Eric Steinbach, LB Beau Bell, WR Steve Sanders, FB Lawrence Vickers, third QB Ken Dorsey, and DB Hamza Abdullah, according to the Browns' official site.

Our View: None of these players have much fantasy value of which to speak.
Shaun Rogers, DT Thursday 11/6, 1:44 PM CT
Shaun Rogers remains questionable for tonight's game against the Broncos due to his rib injury, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Our View: Rogers would be missed in IDP leagues as he has already contributed 45 tackles (38 solo) and five sacks. Rookie Ryan Torain will be making his first career start at running back and would benefit if the elite defensive tackle is unable to go.
Brady Quinn, QB Thursday 11/6, 1:40 PM CT
Brady Quinn commented on his first start tonight against the Broncos, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Quinn said, "It's been a little while. I'll have to dust off the ol' cleats and shoulder pads and everything. Obviously I'm excited now and I will be once game time comes. I think the biggest thing for me is remaining calm."

Our View: He could fare well tonight, as he has solid weapons at his disposal with elite receiver Braylon Edwards and tight end Kellen Winslow, and will be facing the Broncos' 27th ranked pass defense. He is worth the gamble if you lack a more stable option for Week 10.
Corey Williams, DE Wednesday 11/5, 7:22 PM CT
Corey Williams is listed as questionable for the Browns game against the Broncos, according to the Browns official web site. Williams is battling a shoulder injury.

Our View: Williams doesn't hold any fantasy value but it will be a big hole on the Browns defense.
Lawrence Vickers, RB Wednesday 11/5, 5:54 PM CT
Fullback Lawrence Vickers has been listed as doubtful for the Browns Thursday night game against the Broncos, according to the Browns official web site.

Our View: Vickers has only gotten seven rushing attempts in 2008 and doesn't have any fantasy values.
Donte Stallworth, WR Wednesday 11/5, 5:37 PM CT
Donte Stallworth was a limited participant Tuesday and Wednesday but is listed as probable, according to the Browns official web site. Stallworth missed last week's game with a reoccurrence of a quad injury that cost him the first four games.

Our View: Stallworth doesn't have any more practice days left because the Browns play on Thursday night. Keep checking back to see if the Browns say anything more about the receiver's status.
Eric Steinbach, G Wednesday 11/5, 10:49 AM CT
Eric Steinbach is questionable for Thursday's game against Denver, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He sat out Tuesday's practice while nursing a rib injury.

Our View: The elite guard has had trouble staying healthy in his first campaign with Cleveland, and is among the reasons why the Browns' passing attack has been erratic.
Shaun Rogers, DT Wednesday 11/5, 10:45 AM CT
Shaun Rogers missed Tuesday's practice while dealing with his rib injury, and is questionable for Thursday's game against Denver, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Rogers would be missed in IDP leagues as he has already contributed 45 tackles (38 solo) and five sacks. Rookie Ryan Torain and the Broncos' ground attack would benefit if the elite defensive tackle is unable to go.
Shaun Rogers, DT Tuesday 11/4, 7:54 PM CT
Shaun Rogers was unable to practice on Tuesday due to some injured ribs, according to the AP.

Our View: Rogers has piled up 45 tackles and five sacks in 2008 and he is a huge run stuffer on the defensive line. There is no official word on his status for Thursday night.
Darnell Dinkins, TE Tuesday 11/4, 6:20 PM CT
Browns tight end Darnell Dinkins was limited in practice on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, according to the Cleveland Browns official web site.

Our View: So far in 2008 Dinkins has only three receptions for 31 yards. He doesn't have any fantasy value in all leagues.
Donte Stallworth, WR Tuesday 11/4, 6:13 PM CT
Donte Stallworth was a limited participant Tuesday after missing last week's game with a quad injury, according Clevelandbrowns.com.

Our View: There is no official word on what the playing status of Stallworth is for Thursday night's game. If he is able to play he will have a new quarterback throwing him passes, in Brady Quinn.
Eric Steinbach, G Tuesday 11/4, 9:40 AM CT
Eric Steinbach underwent an MRI Monday due to a rib injury sustained in Sunday's game against Baltimore, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Coach Romeo Crennel is yet to update his status for Thursday's game against Denver. The elite guard has had trouble staying healthy in his first campaign with Cleveland.
Derek Anderson, QB Monday 11/3, 4:36 PM CT
Quarterback Derek Anderson has been benched in favor of Brady Quinn for Thursday's game against Denver, according to ESPN.

Our View: Anderson has been a big disappointment this season. He has completed less than 50 percent of his passes while throwing nine touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has a 68.9 percent passer rating. Anderson signed a big contract extension in the offseason and if Quinn fares poorly against the Broncos, Anderson could resume the starting position before the season ends.
Brady Quinn, QB Monday 11/3, 4:06 PM CT
The Browns will start Brady Quinn at quarterback on Thursday against the Broncos, according to ESPN.

Our View: Quinn has attempted just eight passes in his brief career and it's optimistic to think he will have a strong game coming off a short week. The Browns have good weapons on offense, but Quinn is a No. 2 fantasy QB at best.
Joe Jurevicius, WR Monday 11/3, 11:26 AM CT
Joe Jurevicius will miss the rest of the season (staph infection), but said he intends to return to the gridiron in 2009, according to the Browns' official website. He said, "I'm here to let the city of Cleveland now that I'm not retiring. I am going to come back and play football for my beloved Browns and my beloved city. I know I have a lot of gas left in the tank. I am walking off the football field with an orange helmet on my head and not with a pair of jeans on."

Our View: He may not be ready to hang up his cleats, but his best days in the NFL are clearly behind him.
Braylon Edwards, WR Sunday 11/2, 4:51 PM CT
Wide receiver Braylon Edwards caught four balls for 86 yards and one touchdown in the Week 9 loss to Baltimore.

Our View: After scoring 16 times last year, Edwards has been a major disappointment in 2008 with only three touchdowns at the halfway point of the campaign.
Derek Anderson, QB Sunday 11/2, 4:28 PM CT
Quarterback Derek Anderson completed 17-of-33 passes for 219 yards with two touchdowns against one interception in the Week 9 loss to Baltimore.

Our View: Anderson, who continues to struggle with accuracy issues, threw only one interception but it was returned 42 yards for a touchdown by Terrell Suggs, sealing the win for the Ravens. As a result, the Brady Quinn watch might be back on in Cleveland this week.
Donte Stallworth, WR Sunday 11/2, 11:34 AM CT
Browns inactives: WR Donte' Stallworth, FB Lawrence Vickers, LB Beau Bell, TE Martin Rucker, OL Scott Young, DB Hamza Abdullah and QB Ken Dorsey.

Our View: Stallworth (quadriceps) is inactive, resulting in additional targets for Syndric Steptoe and Josh Cribbs. On defense, stud SS Sean Jones (knee) is active after being listed questionable on the official injury report.
Steve Sanders, WR Saturday 11/1, 4:40 PM CT
Steve Sanders has been signed to the Browns' active roster after placing offensive lineman Ryan Tucker on the IR with a knee injury, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: The third-year pro only has one career reception in the NFL, and is not likely going to make a favorable fantasy impact.
Ryan Tucker, T Saturday 11/1, 12:06 PM CT
The Browns placed tackle Ryan Tucker on injured reserve on Saturday ending his season, according to the AP.

Our View: Tucker missed the first four games of the regular season due to a hip fracture, but returned to action on October 13 in the Browns’ 35-14 win over the New York Giants. However, he had been inactive the last two games due to a left knee injury. Tucker is scheduled to have the knee scoped next week.
