Jonathan Stewart, RB Wednesday 9/8, 2:19 PM CT
Jonathan Stewart (heel) was a full participant at the Panthers' practice on Wednesday, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: He'll be good to go for Week 1. Stewart remains the backup to DeAngelo Williams, though he's probably the best backup in the league. He'll still see roughly 15 touches per game and has major upside should Williams get hurt.
Steve Smith, WR Wednesday 9/8, 2:17 PM CT
Steve Smith (arm) was a full participant at the Panthers' practice on Wednesday, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: Jonathan Stewart (heel) was a full participant as well. Smith has made an excellent recovery from a broken arm at the beginning of the summer. He'll be on the field on Sunday and should be at or near full strength. Smith averaged 94.5 yards per game and caught three touchdowns between Weeks 13-16 last season with Matt Moore as Carolina's starter before being held out of Week 17.
Hunter Cantwell, QB Monday 9/6, 12:44 PM CT
The Ravens have signed Hunter Cantwell to their practice squad, according to the National Football Post.

Our View: He was released by the Panthers last week. He'll serve as Baltimore's third quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Marc Bulger.
Trent Guy, WR Monday 9/6, 11:38 AM CT
The Panthers have signed Trent Guy to their practice squad, according to the Charlotte Observer's Darin Gantt.

Our View: They also signed Corvey Irvin, Marlion Jackson, Sean Ware, R.J. Stanford, Josh Vaughan, Shawn Murphy and Dan Santucci. Murphy came from the Eagles and Santucci came from the Chiefs, while the other were recently cut by Carolina.
Hunter Cantwell, QB Saturday 9/4, 11:02 AM CT
The Panthers have released Hunter Cantwell, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: Cantwell opened the summer as Carolina's No. 2 quarterback but was quickly surpassed by rookie Jimmy Clausen, and ended up being passed by another rookie in Tony Pike as well.
Jonathan Stewart, RB Thursday 9/2, 10:49 PM CT
According to the Gaston Gazette, Jonathan Stewart (heel) confirmed Thursday that he will play in the Panthers season opener.

Our View: Stewart is chomping at the bit, saying, "Yep, I'm ready," after Thursday's game. Stewart's in a timeshare with DeAngelo Williams, but it's been productive for both backs, and he looks like a top of the line RB2 with RB1 upside.
