Jason Taylor indicated in an interview with ESPN that he would not commit to training camp with the Dolphins and would still prefer to be traded to a contender, according to the Sun-Sentinel. He added, "I want to win games. I don't play this game for fame or money. It's fun when you play it and you win. t's about winning. Being 1-15 and being on the doorstep of 0-16 isn't what this game is about."

Our View:If Taylor sits out at the beginning of training camp, it probably won't last heading into the regular season. His plan is to play this season.

John Clayton of ESPN believes a deal to send Jason Taylor to Green Bay is unlikely. Talks between the Dolphins and Packers haven't developed to the point it could be considered a real possibility. Packers' GM Ted Thompson doesn't like to deal draft choices, and the cost of a second-rounder would go against his beliefs. The Packers are also pleased with what they already have at defensive end, as Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila is optimistic he will be ready for training camp despite a knee issue.

Our View:The Dolphins' asking price is still very high, and it will be difficult to move Taylor prior to training camp.

The Green Bay Packers have not had substantive talks with the Miami Dolphins regarding a potential trade for defensive end Jason Taylor, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View:The Packers inquired in passing about Taylor prior to the draft, and have checked in time to time with Miami, but the Dolphins asking price is still too high. Miami reportedly wants a first round pick, while Green Bay might be willing to surrender a second rounder.

It appears the Dolphins may be getting what they want as the Green Bay Packers are reported to have contacted Miami concerning their ability to trade for the services of defensive end Jason Taylor , according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Our View:With defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila rehabbing the knee that was operated on in the offseason, the Packers have made an exploratory inquiry with the Miami Dolphins about Taylor. The Dolphins continue to show interest in keeping Taylor, but Taylor has said in the past that he would like to play one more season with a team that has a good chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Jason Taylor met with Bill Parcells to talk about Taylor's future with the Dolphins, but the meeting reportedly did not end favorably, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:Both Taylor and Parcells left the meeting without any better feelings regarding the situation, and Taylor still reportedly wants to be traded. Parcells told Taylor that trading him will be hard, because the market for a Pro Bowl defensive end like Taylor doesn't match his current value to the Dolphins.
