It has been disclosed that the Jets were also interested in acquiring Jason Taylor, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:New head coach Rex Ryan is looking for playmakers on defense, and Taylor would have been added to shore up their pass rush.

The Dolphins will employ Jason Taylor in a situational role off the bench this season, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:Matt Roth fared well defending the run last season, and Taylor will likely be used to apply heat on the quarterback in passing situations. The Dolphins also want to keep him healthy, and his fantasy stock would take a hit as a part-time player.

Updating an earlier report, Jason Taylor has agreed to a one-year deal worth $1.1MM with the Dolphins, according to ESPN. He can earn an additional $400,000 in incentives.

Our View:He gave up more than $7MM to return to his old team. He considers the Dolphins an extended part of his family, and should bounce back following a disappointing 2008 campaign with Washington that was spoiled by injuries.

Jason Taylor is going to ink a deal to return to the Dolphins, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Our View:The Dolphins actually ended up lending Taylor to the Redskins for one year in exchange for a second-round draft pick. The Dolphins will be pleased to get him back - especially since the division rival Patriots were interested in acquiring his services.

According to the Boston Herald, the Dolphins are involved in talks with Jason Taylor.

Our View:Most reports had Taylor going to the Patriots, but it looks like the Dolphins have entered into the mix. Apparently the two parties have had several conversation's about Taylor's return.
