The Ravens have signed Jalen Parmele off the Dolphins' practice squad, according to the Carroll County Times.

Our View:The club added him with Willis McGahee and Ray Rice nursing ailments. Parmele will fit in with Baltimore as a tough bruising running back, but won't hold any fantasy value this late in the season.

Rookie running back Jalen Parmele has reportedly been cut by the Dolphins, according to the Sun-Sentinel. It is believed he was released to make room for an offensive lineman on the 53-man roster.

Our View:The sixth-round rookie out of Toledo is a tough runner who excels at breaking tackles. The team is likely hoping he clears waivers to add him to the practice squad. As a fantasy back, he held no value while working behind Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown.

Jalen Parmele had seven rushes for 88 yards and a score Saturday. He also lost a fumble.

Our View:Aside from one 80-yard jaunt, Parmele didn't look very good, but you certainly can't complain about those numbers. He's established himself as the third runner on the depth chart.

Running back Jalen Parmele is distinguishing himself as the primary backup to Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams according to the Palm Beach Post. Parmele hits the hole quickly and has the power to pick up the tough yards inside. He also has enough burst to bounce runs to the sideline.

Our View:Parmele is not worth considering as a third stringer, however, he is a good name to know in case the two players in front of him go down this season. Both are coming back from injury so the scenario is not far-fetched. He could be a Ryan Grant type pickup for an owner this season if things work in his favor.

Running back Jalen Parmele has stood out during the team's weekend minicamp, and it's believed he will be the No. 3 back behind Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in 2008, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Our View:Parmele is coming off two good years at Toledo, and the Dolphins like his mixture of size and speed. Given that Brown is coming off a torn ACL and Williams is a tricky guy to gauge, it's worth noting Parmele's position on the depth chart.
