The Nashville Tennessean reports that rookie running back Chris Johnson called the voting process for Offensive Rookie of the Year "bogus". He finished second to Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

Our View:He may have a case. Ryan was not the best player on his own offense as he played with Michael Turner and Roddy White - two of the best at their positions. Johnson played with an aging veteran at quarterback who had a below-average receiving corps. Johnson finished his first season with 1,228 yards and nine touchdowns. Most impressively, he averaged 4.9 yards per carry while facing defenses that often stacked their defenses in order to stop him.

Chris Johnson finished second in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting behind winner Matt Ryan, according to the Tennessean. Ryan received 44 votes, and Johnson had three.

Our View:Johnson led the Titans with 1,228 rushing yards, and added another 260 receiving yards on 43 catches. He scored 10 total touchdowns and helped the Titans clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC with an NFL-best 13-3 mark.

Running back Chris Johnson is inactive for the Week 17 game against the Colts.

Our View:The Titans are wisely resting a bunch of their top players, including the stud rookie. LenDale White is active, but he might not see much action.
December 21, 2008
Running back Chris Johnson posted 16 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Week 16 victory over the Steelers.

Our View:Considering the opponent, it was a solid performance for the rookie. Johnson has notched two 100-yard efforts and four touchdowns in the last four games.

The Texans held running back Chris Johnson to 65 rushing yards on 13 carries in Week 15. The rookie added only two yards on two catches.

Our View:Johnson opened the game with rushes of 16 and 11 yards, so his final numbers were very disappointing. It's a tough blow for fantasy owners in this key week.
